About Farah

I’m a game and narrative designer! Most recently, I’ve been working on Good Pizza, Great Pizza and Good Coffee, Great Coffee as a Narrative Design Intern at Tapblaze. I’m well-rounded when it comes to designing games— having worked on mobile cooking sims, action games, tabletop RPGs, and more— but I especially love designing mechanics, combat, and narratives. The power games have to craft narratives, whether it be through an intentionally designed narrative or through the emergent narrative a player creates themself, is something I’m deeply interested in. Beyond the characters and plots a writer may create, game mechanics themselves have infinite potential to tell stories.

Growing up, storytelling was essential to everything I liked to do and everything I loved to engage with. Whether it be by going to writing camps, drawing comics, or doing theatre, I loved crafting characters, writing short stories, and finding ways to tell those stories in more interactive ways. It’s why I tend to put a little bit of theatre into everything I make.

When I’m not making games, you might find me drawing, trying new cafés, going to concerts, and, of course, playing games! Some of my favorites include any number of Pokémon or The Legend of Zelda games, Dragon Age: Origins, and Undertale. Most recently, I’ve been playing Big Walk with my friends.
